After EDIC's success with medical malpractice insurance and EDIA's success with personal insurance, we decided to further meet the needs of our dental colleagues by forming a second subsidiary, EDFS, Eastern Dental Financial Services. In 2005, we formed EDFS to provide our insured dentists with the financial products and services to help them grow their assets and secure their financial futures.
EDFS is composed of independent, objective financial advisors who are available to advise you, the dentist member, one-on-one about financial planning for your professional and personal life.

Financial Planners
Because financial products and services are highly specialized, EDFS has endorsed seasoned financial planners who work with our dentist members one-on-one to develop a customized solution to help them meet their individual financial goals. The two planners are:
Stephen Dellelo
- Berkshire, Cape Cod, Metropolitan, South Shore, Southeastern, Valley
Stephen has 30 years of experience in the finance and accounting industries and more than 17 years of experience in financial services. For the past decade, Stephen has provided these services to the Massachusetts Medical Society and most recently, to the EDIC insureds through EDFS.
Stephen's in-depth financial experience and understanding of an individual’s financial objectives prompted him to create the Pension Income Capability Analysis (PICA) program. He has particular knowledge of retirement planning and asset management, as well as individual estate tax planning. As an Associate Professor at Massasoit College, Stephen has taught finance, accounting and personal financial planning. He has published various articles on personal finance and is a reputable speaker on various financial topics.
Stephen is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He holds an MBA from Babson College and a BA in accounting from Bentley College. Stephen is a member of the Boston chapter of the Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts.
He is licensed for securities in the following states: MA, NH, ME,.RI and FL. Stephen’s territories are the following MDS Districts: Berkshire, Cape Cod, Metropolitan, South Shore, Southeastern and Valley.

Rudy Van Oeveren

Rudy Van Oeveren grew up in Amsterdam, he joined the Royal Dutch Marine Corps Special Forces, where he spent eight years climbing mountains, parachuting out of airplanes, learning arctic survival and working with the bomb disposal unit.
In 1988, Rudy immigrated to Florida where he bought and owned a Scuba Diving school. Rudy researched and then ventured into the specialized world of Eminent Domain Real Estate Consulting by founding Eminent Solutions Inc.
Rudy stayed in Florida until 1999, when he, his wife Kathy and son Nicholas packed up and moved to Peabody, Massachusetts, where he became a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. He managed the Peabody Branch for two years.
By 2001, Rudy had decided he wanted to provide his clients with unbiased investment advice for the fast changing markets, so he founded his own business, Peabody Financial Services.
Today, he services his clients in his Peabody Office. In addition, his practice has grown to 19 other Investment Professionals. Rudy supervises them to insure proper client investment selection and compliance with SEC and Finra (formerly NASD) rules.
Now in his ninth year in the Financial Services industry, Rudy mainly provides Financial Services for Dentists through Eastern Dental Financial Services (EDFS).
Rudy specializes in providing solid financial advice through gathering information, educating clients and implementing total solutions to ensure Dentists and their families can reach their financial goals with piece of mind.
He holds the following licenses: Series 7 General Securities Representative, Series 24 General Securities Principal, Series 52 Limited Municipal Principal and the Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor.
In addition to his career, Rudy is the past President of the Peabody Rotary Club, past President of the Peabody Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Directors for the Make a Difference in Peabody Foundation.
